My service.
All portraits are drawn personally by me, freehand, starting from a blank sheet of paper. The detail in my pictures is far better than I can show on a website. Ask me to email some larger samples to you » enquiries.
Send me your photo/s by post or email and I'll contact you within 48 hours to agree what you would like me to do. I’ll confirm the price and expected completion date – which is usually about two weeks (three weeks in the approach to Christmas). If you would like to proceed with an order you then send me a £25 non-refundable deposit and I will commence work.
When finished I will email a scan of your drawing for approval. Once you are completely satisfied, send me the balance of your payment and I will send you your picture.
For coloured portraits I use pencil or pastel at my discretion.
I draw animals, head and shoulders only, in colour or graphite. Portraits of people are in graphite only.
Your picture will be supplied in an appropriately coloured cardboard mount, ready for framing.

Prices are for a single subject and include standard delivery by post. For an additional subject add 50%.
In animal pictures, collars, headcollars, harnesses, bridles etc shown in the photograph can be included or excluded as you wish. Simple dog/cat collars are included in the price. There is a £15 charge per subject for fancy collars and all headcollars, bridles and harnesses. I will discuss this with you before I start on the portrait.
Frames from stock £15 to £30
Your picture will already be mounted from my stock. I can frame your portrait if you wish.
In order to provide you with the widest range of colours and styles of frames, at a fraction of high street prices, many of my stock frames are 'second-user' or end of range. Some may show some small evidence of their previous life but they will not be damaged or discoloured to the extent that it will detract from the portrait.
My frames are included in my total satisfaction guarantee. If you do not like your frame for any reason then I will happily change it for another from my stock or refund what you paid for it.
Gift vouchers
You can buy a gift voucher, at the prices above, to give to a friend, who must place their order within six months.
Small print (Copyright, and other terms & conditions)
Photographs are copyright, and ownership usually belongs to the person who took the photo, or the person who paid for it to be taken. For each photo you send me you are granting me an indefinite licence to use it, copy it, and display it in any way - so it is important that you own the copyright or have permission to grant this licence.
Further, for each photo you send me you are agreeing to indemnify me against any costs arising from claims made against me by a person claiming to own the copyright.
If you do not wish to purchase the finished portrait, you will forfeit the initial deposit and I will retain the drawing/s, photograph/s, copyright/s and the right to display and sell to a third party.
I will place an image/s of your purchased portrait in my web gallery unless you specifically request me not to do so.
Your payment of the deposit constitutes your confirmation that you have read and understood all the information on this page.
